Some couples pick their venue for the view. Anna and Danny picked theirs because it’s where their story started. Their Minneapolis Golf Club wedding in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, brought them back to the exact spot where they first met.

Where It All Started

Anna and Danny met for the first time at Minneapolis Golf Club. Life pulled them apart for a few years. Anna moved to Arizona, then moved back home to Minnesota. Danny asked her out. The rest, as Anna puts it, is history.

So when it came time to pick a venue, there was really only one answer. Getting married at the place where they met wasn’t a coincidence they leaned into for the photos. It was the whole point.

Danny proposed on October 18, 2025, at Noerenberg Gardens in Orono. It was one of those perfect fall days Minnesota only gives you a handful of each year. Less than a year later, they were back at Minneapolis Golf Club. This time, as a couple about to become a family.

A Minneapolis Golf Club Wedding Photographer’s Timeline

The day started with a private first look between Anna and Danny. Just the two of them, before anything else got underway. Bridal party photos came next, then family portraits. One point person from each side kept things moving so nobody spent the afternoon corralling relatives.

By 3:15, photos were done. Anna and Danny disappeared to touch up and catch their breath before guests started arriving at 3:30. The ceremony started at 4:00, held indoors. Immediate family filled the front rows on both sides: Anna’s parents Holly and Chad, her brother Billy and his wife Molly, and her grandma Nanna. On Danny’s side, his mom Kari and stepdad Rob, his dad Dan and stepmom Melissa, his sisters Hannah and Holly, and his grandparents Bev, Dale, and Nancy.

The Reception, the Toasts, and a Golf Cart at Sunset

Cocktail hour ran from 4:45 to 5:45. Then guests found their seats for the wedding party entrances and Anna and Danny’s grand entrance into the ballroom. Toasts came early, with speeches from Chad, Peter, and Hannah. Then Anna and Danny’s first dances took over the floor.

The detail that made this day distinctly theirs came right around sunset. Anna and Danny hopped in a golf cart with their photographer and rode out onto the course. Just the three of them, to grab portraits with a flag that read “Gronseth” tucked into one of the holes. It’s a small thing. But it’s the kind of detail that turns a wedding album into a story only Anna and Danny could tell.

The night closed out with cake cutting at 8:30. The dance floor stayed full well past that.

Why Minneapolis Golf Club Works for a Wedding Like This

Minneapolis Golf Club gives couples something a lot of venues can’t: real variety within one location. There’s an indoor ceremony space that works rain or shine. A ballroom built for a full reception. Acres of open course for portraits that don’t look like every other wedding photo taken in the Twin Cities that season.

For Anna and Danny, it also gave them something no other venue could offer. A place that already meant something to them, long before they ever booked it for their wedding day.
