It can be exciting to start your entrepreneurial journey, but it can also be overwhelming. It’s important to create a business that not only aligns with YOUR goals and values but also supports your lifestyle. As a person in business, you may be balancing multiple responsibilities, including family, friends, and personal interests. By creating a business that supports your life, you can achieve a fulfilling career and live the life of your DREAMS. This means, being intentional about the time you spend working, the tasks you take on (finally learning the word “no”), and the goals you set.
Here are a few questions for you to think about (or go wild and journal!):
- What are your personal goals and values, and how do they align with your business?
- How can you prioritize your time and energy to create days and weeks you love?
- What tasks or responsibilities could you delegate or outsource to free up more time?
- How can you ensure your business supports your life for years to come?
Personal Self-Care Practices
Running a business can be demanding, and it’s important to prioritize self-care to maintain your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. For me, this looks like fresh air, moving my body, spending time with people I love, meditating, reading, traveling (!), decorating my home, hosting people, and creating. In past seasons, I’ve been so obsessed with work, that I’ve let these things fall to the side… but when I create space in my life… I am able to finally dream up big ideas.
Questions for reflection:
- What self-care practices do you currently engage in?
- How could you incorporate more self-care into your routine?
- What are the benefits of practicing self-care while running a business?
- How can you ensure you prioritize self-care, even during busy periods?
Financial and Business Systems
Effective financial and business systems are essential for any successful business. It’s important to have a clear understanding of your finances and to set goals for your business. This includes tracking your income and expenses, creating a budget, and developing a plan for growth. By implementing strong financial and business systems, you can make informed decisions, measure progress, and increase the likelihood of achieving success.
Questions for reflection:
- What financial and business systems do you currently have in place?
- How could you improve your financial literacy?
- What are your short-term and long-term financial goals for your business?
- How can strong financial and business systems positively impact your business?
Running a business is not easy. You are strong and creative, and you bring something unique to this world! I love coming alongside incredible creative entrepreneurs like you, to help you level up your business so you can live the LIFE of your dreams. I have lots of amazing options for you 🙂
