Meet Amanda

Senior year is one of my favorite seasons to photograph, and I mean that in the least generic way possible.

There is something about this moment in life that feels so specific, so fleeting, and so worth capturing. You are right at the edge of everything. The person you have been and the person you are about to become are both there at the same time, and that combination is genuinely beautiful to document.

I also know that getting in front of a camera at this age can feel awkward before it feels fun. You are already thinking about your hands. Wondering if your smile looks natural. Trying to figure out whether you look like yourself or someone trying too hard to look like themselves.

I get it, and I promise that feeling fades faster than you think.

From the moment we start, I am in your corner. I will guide every pose so you never have to wonder what to do. I will tell you when you look incredible, specifically and often, because you will, and you deserve to hear it. Somewhere along the way, most seniors stop thinking about the camera and start having fun.

That is my favorite moment of every session.

Last year, I photographed a senior who mentioned she was a dancer but did not want her session to feel like a dance shoot. I remembered that. By the end of the day, we had woven in a few poses that honored her love for dance without making it feel like a performance. Those ended up being her favorite images.

Another girl casually mentioned a bracelet she was wearing that she had made in honor of her grandma. I stopped and made sure we gave that bracelet its own moment, its own light, and its own place in her gallery.

Because senior year is not just about looking good on camera. It is about capturing who you are right now, with all the details, stories, and meaningful things that make you you.

That is what I am here to find.
