IS THE BEHIND THE SCENES SUMMER INTERNSHIP FOR YOU?

I am looking to fill TWO positions this summer and the interns will work closely with each other, Mycah, the Mycah Bain Photography Marketing Specialist, and the Mycah Bain Photography Administrative Assistant. The focus will be joining primarily on Senior photo shoots to provide an incredible client experience. The interns will work together to capture and post behind-the-scenes content for both Instagram and TikTok.  This is perfect for someone at least 16 years old, looking to learn more about photography and how to run a small business. You must be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the afternoon/evening until sunset to join in photo shoots. You must also be able to provide your own transportation.  Some content creation and posting will be done on your own time. So, you must be motivated and organized and able to create and post at least 5 quality Tiktok videos/Instagram reels per week.

FOCUS FOR THE BEHIND-THE-SCENES INTERNS

Your focus will be on senior photo shoots. Option to join for other portrait and family sessions or the occasional wedding.

I am looking to fill ONE social media intern position this summer and this intern will work closely with the Behind the Scenes Interns, Mycah, the Mycah Bain Photography Marketing Specialist, and the Mycah Bain Photography Administrative Assistant. The focus will be on creating and posting reels for Instagram and also Tiktok videos for the education side of the business. This is perfect for someone at least 16 years old, looking to learn more about photography and how to run a small business. You’ll meet with Mycah on a weekly basis as well and must be able to provide your own transportation.  Most content creation and posting will be done on your own time. So, you must be motivated and organized and able to create and post at least 5 quality Tiktok videos/Insta reels per week.

FOCUS FOR THE SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNS

Your focus will be on content creation, primarily on your own time. Option to join for other portrait and family sessions or the occasional wedding.

QUALITIES NECESSARY: Responsible, creative, and reliable!

TIME COMMITMENT: August. Typically: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays for 5 hours before sunset and also from 8-10am most Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.

EXPERIENCE: No photography experience is necessary for this UNPAID position in the Minneapolis area with some possible travel opportunities (if interested).

LEARNING: You’ll have the opportunity to build your portfolio. Learn all about shooting photos, building a sustainable and profitable business, client interaction, camera setup, editing, collections and pricing, lighting, etc. If you’re interested in photography or running a small business, this is for you!

BONUS: As a thank you, you’ll receive a one-hour photo experience of YOUR choice, during your internship.  This could be a portrait session (grad or senior photos), friend photos, or something else!
